118F heat index and everyone is melting. Felix still has an entrance reducer with the largest opening and is bearding. Oscar has no reducer and is not bearding. I am not about to suit up in this heat and open up Felix. They will be fine hanging out outside the hive.
You shouldn't need a suit just to remove and entrance reducer, just put the head net on and move slowly, unless your bees are really aggressive, I even sit near my hives in shorts and t-shirt to watch them work, really depends on your bees attitude. GL with the heat.
